Long Branch photographer Hal Kahn is best know for his Faces of the Elderly series, which has been exhibited at galleries in New Jersey and New Mexico since 2012. Kahn also enjoys doing nudes and close-up shots of flowers and insects.
Kahn’s work has been profiled in newspapers, magazines and via broadcast media. His photography centers on emotional expression and defamiliarizing the familiar.
In New Jersey, his work has been displayed at the Belmar Arts Center, the Guild of Creative Arts in Shrewsbury and the Art Alliance of Monmouth County in Red Bank.
Prior to being disabled in 1997, Kahn worked as a writer and editor in the newspaper business, primarily in California.
