with Hillary Binder-Klein
Thursday, March 8 from 7-9pm
Would you like to save money by framing your work attractively, easily and confidently by yourself?
Showing our work as artists and photographers is what we do and all shows require our pieces to be framed appropriately. An attractive frame on a painting or photograph usually enhances the piece and may help sell it, but the need to have pieces framed on a regular basis can end up costing a lot of money!
This 2 hour class will get you started on the path to framing your art yourself. It will cover the different framing options and the materials needed to accomplish them, as well as, how to wire your art and how to create a basic framing tool kit.
NEW WORKSHOP! Framing With Glass & Mat
will be offered late Spring 2018 – contact Hillary to be placed on the wait list
Framing your art with glass and a mat is a framing choice used for works on paper, of paper, prints, photos and anything that needs to be mounted and protected by the glass. Framing art and photos this way requires using certain materials in specific ways to ensure the piece is framed properly, securely and attractively,
This 2-hour class includes a demonstration of this type of framing by the instructor – after which students will frame one of their own artworks while she assists. After registering for the class, each student will be e-mailed a list of supplies they are responsible for bringing to class. Students should register by 10/5/17 to give themselves enough time to purchase or collect the supplies they will need. It is recommended, but not required, to take “The Basics of Framing” before taking this class.
EACH WORKSHOP: BAC members: $30/Non-Members $35
OR TAKE BOTH FOR : BAC members: $50/Non-Members $55
